April 5, 12 and 19 – Beginner Lace. $40 for 3 sessions, pattern included. Learn the basics of lace knitting: understanding the structure of lace and chart reading. Knowledge of knit and purl stitch required. Required Materials:470yds lace weight yarn and a US 4 needle or 470yds fingering weight yarn and a US 6 needle, stitch markers, darning needle. May 3, 10, 17 – Susie’s Reading Mitts. $40 for 3 sessions. Lovely fingerless mitts with a picot detail. Learn a provisional cast on and three-needle bind off. Required Materials: 1 skein Malabrigo Silky Merino, US 5 double point needles, size F crochet hook, waste yarn, stitch markers and a darning needle. Knowledge of knit and purl stitch required.
